La Sección de Arbitraje del Ilustre Colegio de la Abogacía de Madrid celebró lugar ayer una jornada dedicada a abordar la resolución de conflictos audiovisuales mediante el arbitraje.
El evento, que congregó a destacados expertos y profesionales del ámbito jurídico y audiovisual, fue inaugurado por José Ignacio Monedero, Secretario de la Junta de Gobierno y Presidente de la Corte de Arbitraje del ICAM.
La jornada fue moderada por Leonor Aguera Jaquemet, árbitro y miembro de WIPO ADR Young y contó con la intervención de Carlos Rosado Cobián, Presidente de Spain Film Commission y Abogado; Marisa Castelo, Árbitro y Abogada experta en propiedad intelectual e industrias culturales, fundadora de la Cámara MEDIAUTOR OMPI; y Mercedes de Parada y Rodríguez, Abogada y socia directora de LETRADOX Abogados.
Durante las intervenciones, se abordaron temas de interés relacionados con los conflictos audiovisuales, como los contratos de coproducción internacional, las inversiones en cine desde España, los conflictos por la propiedad intelectual de las obras y los contratos con productoras. Se destacó especialmente la importancia del arbitraje y otras formas de resolución de controversias en la gestión eficiente y justa de estos conflictos.
La copresidenta de la Sección, Nazareth Romero Sánchez-Miguel, resumió la sesión desde una perspectiva positiva e incidiendo en la gran proyección de futuro que de la industria audiovisual en Madrid, que supone una vía de negocio para abogados y empresas.
Como explicó la presidenta, la Corte de Arbitraje del Ilustre Colegio de la Abogacía de Madrid también puede jugar un papel crucial en este escenario para resolver conflictos en el ámbito audiovisual, incluso para problemas suscitados entre empresas audiovisuales que no están localizadas en Madrid. Por eso, la incorporación de la cláusula de la Corte de Arbitraje del ICAM en contratos, puede ser una estrategia eficaz para garantizar la neutralidad e imparcialidad en la resolución de disputas, consolidando así la posición de Madrid como un epicentro clave para la resolución de conflictos audiovisuales a nivel nacional e internacional.
